Interactive in the Bag
OK, so it's not quite the Oscars, but you're still handed a Big Bag of Stuff featuring the art of Sam Brown when you check in for SXSW Interactive. Gone are the bubble-licious days when the bag would contain fab swag like 50,000 shares of Kozmo or a dream date package with Matt Haughey. But there's still a few things of interest. So, what's in the bag?
- SXSW Interactive Program Book, of course. Tucked in a pocket in back: your program for the Web Awards and a handy pocket guide to all the panels and events.
- Two copies of the Austin Chronicle (March 4 & 11), containing South by converage.
- A copy of Maximum PC magazine (April 2005).
- A copy of Linux Journal (March 2005).
- Brochure from Grande Communications, "Bringing fiber deep in the heart of Texas".
- T3 recruiting brochure.
- Brochure and temp tattoo from Knowbility, pimping the accessibility panels at the conference.
- Gift certificate for 5 free weeks of Austin Business Journal.
- Brochure for Onque "digital media preview station".
- Brochure from Pinky's Wireless ("Rent a cell phone, only $5 per day").
- Brochure/coupon from Omega Broadcast Group.
- Brochure/coupon from Southside Market & BBQ.
- Brochure from Adobe Video and Audio Solutions.
- Coupon for 15th Street Café.
- Sample pack from Cshell Direct (compact disc/DVD cases).
- Bright orange punchcard good for a complimentary drink each day at the SXSW Registrant's Lounge in Brush Square Park.
- Coupon for Hickory Street Bar & Grille.
- 10% off coupon valid at all U.S. Borders Books & Music stores.
- Brochure for Vox Nox at Red Eye Fly.
- Buy one/get one coupon for coffee at Grape Vine Market.
- Brochure for TalentMatch.
- Brochure for Austin Community College Hospitality Management Program.
- Card promoting Rosedale Ride, April 2, a benefit for Rosedale School.
- Nametag sticker from Blogger.
- Bottle opener from Porter Novelli.
- Mini flying disc from Inknoise.
Yeah, I think it's fair to say the boom is waaaaay behind us.
