Buttered up by Bitstrips
Golly, that sounds a bit naughty, doesn’t it? Well, it’s all in good fun. Jesse Brown from Bitstrips dropped us a line after reading some of the speculation about what would emerge as the killer app from SXSW 2008 with an entirely self-interested suggestion in comic form:
We don’t ordinarily promote sites that have little to do specifically with SXSW, but we’re suckers for guys who can draw and drop our name in their work. It reminds us a lot of that quiet, broody guy we had a crush on back in high school, the one who could draw really well and who we peppered with requests and who never seemed to tire of our puppy-dog like devotion.
“Hey, Jesse! Now draw a dragon! With a bazooka and a cape! Yeah, and then could’ya draw the Millennium Falcon, but with me at the controls instead of Han Solo and Wonder Woman instead of Chewbacca? That’d be cool, Jesse. You’re so cool.”
