BarCampAustin
Ask any of my friends: I'm totally down with camp and anything involving a bar. So I was totally jazzed to hear about BarCampAustin. What is BarCamp? Well, it's during SXSW Interactive (March 11) and it's designed to complement FooCamp.Huh?
BarCamp is an ad-hoc un-conference born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment. It is an intense event with discussions, demos and interaction from attendees. All attendees must give a demo, a session, or help with one.Ah. OK. Nothing much to do with bars or camp, really. But geeky as all get out and that's deeply cool.
Anyone with something to contribute or with the desire to learn is welcome and invited to join.
When you come, be prepared to share with barcampers. When you leave, be prepared to share it with the world.
