2008 panel picking process promulgated
Got a hot panel idea? Hugh Forrest just sent around this note for anyone interested in presenting a panel at SXSW Interactive next year. The basics are up top; click on the extended entry to read the details.
For 2008, SXSW Interactive will feature 128 programming slots over the space of five days: Friday, March 7 through Tuesday, March 11. At least 64 of these slots will be filled by programming ideas submitted by the online community.
Programming ideas will be accepted beginning Friday, June 1.
The deadline for submitting these ideas is Friday, July 20.
Beginning Friday, August 3, all ideas received via this process will be posted on the 2008 SXSW Panel Picker. This web application allows anyone / everyone in the online community to vote for the ideas they feel are most appropriate for the 2008 event. Panel Picker voting will continue through Friday, September 7.
We encourage you to submit a proposal for the 2008 event. If you are interested in this process, please e-mail your panel idea(s) to . Your e-mail should include the following information. Failure to answer these questions will handicap your chances for being considered to be part of the event.
