Ride & Room Share Board
Hotel accommodations are at a premium in Austin during SXSW—and just getting there can be half the fun expense.
To help, SXSW Baby! features a Ride & Room Share Board, a virtual tack board where you can post a note if you've got a spare seat in your car for the trip to Austin or where you can connect with a potential roommate or find a sofa to crash on.

Rides Available Last Minute!
Hey want to go to SXSW but didn’t book a flight? If you live on a route between New York and Texas and can contribute gas money maybe you can ride with me… looking for up to five people, sorry no smoking in this kinda new (very reliable!) mini-van. I went one year with a half hour’s notice, this year you can too!

Share your room and/or get a ride
I’m looking for a place to get some sleep within reasonable walking distance of downtown that’s less than $100 a night. I’m an easy-going, mentally stable guy in his 20s who won’t make too much noise or mess.
As for the ride: I’m heading to Austin Tuesday night or Wednesday morning for the music portion of SXSW. I’ll be coming from Shreveport, LA. Would love to have some folks to help with gas/getting psyched about this year’s festivities. I’m flying solo and have room for 3 others in my super fuel efficient Civic. I’ll be heading home Sunday morning. If you’re interested and live between here and Austin, let me know!

March 7-11: Twin Bed at Marriot Austin South
Hello! I’ve reserved two twin beds at the Marriot Austin South and would love to split the cost. The reservation is for the interactive conference from March 7-11. Here’s the description provided by the hotel.
The Marriott South - Airport is a full-service hotel property located 4 miles from the Austin Convention Center. It is a straight, 10-minute drive down IH-35 to the SXSW Conference and Sixth Street Music Fest venues. Marriott South will provide transportation for guests to downtown for a fee per trip, per person and will advise guests when and how vans are available. This is a non-smoking property.
Let me know if you’re interested! I’m a laid-back straight guy and have no particular preference about who I share the room with. It is, after all, merely a place to crash. Cost before splitting is $167/night.

Looking for a space downtown to recharge
Hey there - long shot i know but looking for a space for tues through sat during the festival. Travelling from London UK for work purposes and will be pretty busy from morning to night out and about. A room, bed, couch or anywhere that can be used as a base to sleep and recharge batteries would be most appreciated. Can contribute around $60-$80 a day. Room to spare
I have a room (King) at the Doubletree Hotel – University from March 6 –12 that I’m looking to get off my hands due to overbooking. The room is $139/night; I’m willing to forego the tax fee of $125. Guesthouse available for the fest
I live on E. 7th Street just two blocks east of 35. Perfect location to walk downtown and to eastside parties. The place is brand new, very nice. I’d like to rent it out for $175 per night during the fest. Let me know if there are any takers.

Bed available at downtown hotel
We have a double bed going spare in our room at the Sheraton Austin on 11th Street, due to friends pulling out.
Checking in Monday 10th March, checking out Monday 17th March (although this is negotiable)
Price for the bed is $115 a night incl. taxes (same price we were charged for it).
We are two male friends, 27 and 28, from Scotland. We will be sharing the other double bed to keep costs down. We want to see a lot of bands, party and enjoy the banter, but also hopefully get a little bit of sleep where possible. This is our second SXSW.
We are not serial killers.
Looking for one or two people to have the other bed.
Sheraton Austin is a 4 star hotel on 11th Street, just off Red River, so only a few blocks from the heart of the venues and the convention centre.
The nearest hotel still available on the SXSW website is 4.1 miles from the convention centre!

Place to camp ourselves….
IMPORTANTE!!
My friend and me are virgins to the sxsw festival, and therefore have nowhere to camp ourselves. We are college students who love music, traveling and meeting new people! three lovely ladies need somewhere to crash
i work for an L.A.-based music magazine and we’re putting on a bunch of shows over the weekend so my girlfriends and i are flying out there and just need somewhere to drop our bags and (hopefully) take a shower.

Roommate(s) wanted
Hi there! I am from continental Europe, and (probably, >80%) going to SXSW Interactive this year for the first time. Even with the dollar as low as it is, the flight alone takes up a substantial part of my budget, so I am looking for people willing to share a room. I’ll be flying into Austin on the 6th, and leave on the 12th. I suppose we’ll only be in the room to sleep, and I neither smoke nor snore, so what have you got to lose?
