Hotel accommodations are at a premium in Austin during SXSW—and just getting there can be half the fun expense.
To help, SXSW Baby! features a Ride & Room Share Board, a virtual tack board where you can post a note if you've got a spare seat in your car for the trip to Austin or where you can connect with a potential roommate or find a sofa to crash on.
Commercial listings are not accepted on the Ride/Room Share board. If you represent a hotel, room-to-let, B&B, travel service or other commercial vendor, you may post a brief message about your service in the Accommodations & Amenities forum on the Baby! Boards. Needing someone to share my Doubletree Guest Suites suite with
Am a music badge holder and have booked a King Suite at Doubletree Guest Suites (which is now completely sold out as it is walking distance from 6th St) and need someone to share it with. The suite has a FULL kitchen with a separate living area. There is a King size bed in the bedroom with a queen size fold out couch in the lounge. If there’s a couple, we can split 3 ways and you can have the bedroom, me on the foldout couch, I’m not fussy.
If there’s only two of us we can toss a coin for the King bed, ha.
Cost (5 nights):
Total (if split between 2 of us):$104.50/night each (+ taxes)
(if split between 3 of us): $73.00/night each (+ taxes)
Check in: 16th March
Check Out: 21 March
If you’re either coming alone or with your partner, you’ll be pretty hard pressed to find something cheaper that’s within walking distance from the convention center.

I live downtown and have a 2010 Music badge. I would be happy to take in one or two band members or one or two fellow badge holders for the days of the music conference.

need a room down town
