Now that Las Manitas is gone, where can one get a good, healthy breakfast--tex mex style--in downtown Austin.

I certainly wouldn’t call it healthy, but Cisco’s on East 6th is fantastic.

People hate on Taco Shack, but I think there’s nothing wrong with them. They’re great for a breakfast on the run. There’s one in the Frost bank building on 4th St. Try the steak & egg taco! Yum!

NB the Frost Tower’s Taco Shack’s hours are limited to:

Mon-Fri 6:30am-2:30pm
Sat 7am-1pm
Closed Sundays

Torchy’s Tacos is good off south first.  I def recommend over Taco Shack. Healthy mexican food may be an oximoron but they def have some Austin-influenced helpings...http://www.torchystacos.com/
