The Tuesday Keynote at the inaugural event will be none other than Steve Case:

Steve Case, one of America’s best-known and most accomplished entrepreneurs and philanthropists, and a pioneer in making the Internet part of everyday life, will deliver the Tuesday, August 13 Keynote for SXSW V2V.

Recently called “one of the nation’s greatest entrepreneurs” by CNBC, Steve Case is Chairman and CEO of Revolution, Co-Founder of America Online and Chairman of The Case Foundation.

Given that he is one of the first interwebz entrepreneurs, he is a very appropriate choice.

With SXSW V2V coming at us in August, the gang at SXSW are bringing us regional meetups to mix and mingle and learn more about the event.

SXSW V2V is hitting the road this summer to meet up with entrepreneurs, digital creatives and tech professionals from around the country who want to share a drink, mingle, and learn more about what SXSW has planned for its first-ever event in Las Vegas this August. The drinks are on us!

We start out in San Francisco on Monday, May 20. On Monday, June 1, we jump over to the East Coast to hang out in Brooklyn. After that, it’s back over to the West Coast on Monday, June 17 for a gathering in Los Angeles. We round out our journey in Washington DC on Monday, July 1.

20/20 Vision

Exclusive to SXSW V2V, 20/20 Vision will feature intense 20-minute presentations from established business and entrepreneurial voices, as well as up-and-coming creative visionaries. Located in one room, and spanning the length of the conference, this shorter format will allow audiences to experience a wide range of differing viewpoints and ideas from the people who are shaping the future.

Panels and Workshops

At SXSW V2V, skilled panel and workshop moderators will guide 3 speakers through 60-minutes of in-depth discussion (and sometimes heated debate) on topics that are specifically chosen to give entrepreneurs vital insight and information.

SXSW Eco
SXSW Eco takes place from October 7–9, 2013 at the Austin Convention Center. This is a move from the AT&T Conference Center used last year and the Hilton Downtown the inaugural year (they grow up so fast!), and is currently accepting Panel Picker submissions for the event.

Public voting on SXSW Eco Panel Picker will run from Monday, May 13, 2013 through Friday, May 24, 2013 (11:59 PM CST).

SXSW V2V takes place Sunday, August 11, 2013 through Wednesday August 14, 2013 at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas in Las Vegas, Nevada, and is currently accepting session, speaker and mentor ideas through April 5, 2013 and V2Venture entries until May 17, 2013.

Not ones to cool their heels on recent successes, SXSW announced a new event earlier today, namely SXSW V2V.

In their own words:

We are excited to announce SXSW V2V, the newest addition to the SXSW family of events. SXSW V2V is an extension and re-imagining of the 26-year-old Austin event with an emphasis on the creative spark that drives entrepreneurial innovation.

The startup and venture capital space is of major interest to all the creative industries that are at the core of the SXSW family of events. SXSW V2V features four days of informative panels and workshops, inspirational speakers, intensive mentor and coaching programs, networking events and receptions, pitch competitions and startup showcases. This new event will offer an intimate environment for innovators and entrepreneurs across all creative industries learn the skills, make the connections and find the inspiration to take their ideas and talents to the next level. If you are involved in building an app, a service, a business, a brand or a community, then this event is for you.

The event will be held Sunday August 11, 2013 through Wednesday August 14, 2013 at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas in Las Vegas, Nevada.
