Recommended Film: “TINY: A Story About Living Small” Documentary Spotlight

TINY: A Story About Living Small was already on our “must see” list of films at SXSW this year, but having seen the screener, we have to say that you too, must see this film.

With beautiful cinematography, stunning landscapes shown through all the seasons, and personal stories about life, it’s meaning, and how one lives it, this film is a touching portrayal of one man’s desire to define his home.

And as it has an environmental aspect, we’d love to see it screen at SXSW Eco this fall as well.

What is home? And how do we find it? TINY follows one couple’s attempt to build a Tiny House from scratch with no building experience, and profiles other families who have downsized their lives into houses smaller than the average parking space. Through homes stripped down to their essentials, the film raises questions about sustainability, good design, and the changing American Dream.
