Panel Picker deadline extended to midnight Tuesday 4th September
Looks like you have a few more days to go through the Panel Picker and vote on the panels, speakers, topics, and discussions that you want to see in March, as the deadline has been extended from this Friday to 23.59 on Tuesday 4th September – probably because everyone wants to enjoy the Labor Day long weekend without rushing to go through the final panels!
And if you’ve been wondering why the SXSW Baby! team has been a little bit quiet over the Panel Picker, there’s a simple answer. A few of us are on the SXSW Advisory Board which helps judge the various panels and talks, and part of the deal is you don’t talk about the panels while the judging process is going on.
We’re going through the panels and voting, just as you are. Between them the public voting and the thoughts and comments from the Advisory Board contribute around two thirds of the decision making process that makes up the programming of South by Southwest (the SXSW staff make up the last third).
So you’ve got a few more days to look through the Panel Picker and help your favourites get into the SXSW 2013 schedule!
