Let your musical history guide you through the SXSW bands
Evolver are speaking at SXSW Music (Music Apps Gone Wild), and they’ve pointed out another way to navigate the musical choices in Austin this March. Lastsx.ws takes your own listening data in Last.fm (which you are using, yes?), and by looking at which bands you listen to, will bring up some suggestions. Head over to the site, give it your Last.fm username, and see what you get.
I gave it a go with my account and got Electric Eel Shock (because I listen to the Stone Gods), The Apache Relay (thanks to Ezra Furman), and Anya Marina (via April Smith) as the top three. Which seems fair enough!
