SXSW Film Year End Wrap Up
It’s been a busy four months for the SXSW 2012 Film team. In writing this post The Baby! reviewed 19 pages of SXSW Film News posted since August (when SXSW 2012 went “live”). One wonders how they manage to aggregate so much information, considering all the deadlines, screening of entries, and panel picking they have on their collective hands.
The Film Closing Party has been redubbed the Film Intermission Party (nice change, considering in happens mid-week).
Doug Benson will once again host the SXSW Film Awards (linkity-link).
And one panel in particular “The Business of Kevin Smith” caught my interest. considering the length and popularity of his Q&As, one wonders how SXSW will manage th ecrowds and tiem limitations inherent in a Film Panel.
So, at this point, SXSW 2012 is a mere 71 days away. We’ll be on the lookout for announcements from SXSW, including Opening Night Film, posting of the Screening Schedule, Parties, and Panels. In the meantime you go out and have a safe and happy New Year!
